Buying American products can save jobs and redeem the American brand. That doesn’t just mean buying Ford, Chrysler and Kodak, it means buying products that are made in America.

Many products are made in China and other counties that are often comparable. So why buy American? Jennifer Granholm, the former governor of Michigan, says that if the nation decides that the logical choice is to stop making things in the U.S., there would be more consequences than just massive job losses.
 
Buying American creates American jobs as well. Consumers control the marketplace, Buy American.  When consumers choose American-manufactured products, they support American jobs — the more US products purchased, the more US jobs are created.
